Keep in mind, the Raspberry Pi series are aimed at hardware and IOT hobbyist, not simply as a cheap desktop. It's all about access and control of external devices. As of this writing, this is the fastest, newest version, and it rocks. A really nice step up from the RPi4, especially if you're starting to get into machine learning and AI. If you don't need that speed, the RPi4 is now an amazing bargain!
