Except for the price, there's nothing about the Garmin Edge 1030 that I don't like. Every single function I've tried has worked. Incident detection and Live Track have worked flawlessly, all the telemetry is accurate and timely, the data syncs seamlessly with the Garmin Connect app on my phone, Bluetooth has been rock solid, cadence/heart/speed sensors paired easily, set-up was a breeze, and that big, beautiful screen is like heaven to my 52 year-old eyes. Battery life has been exceptional. I hate to overuse a cliché, but everything has "just worked." That wasn't always the case with Garmin products, but it really seems like they did a lot of hardware & software tweaks & testing and delivered a rock solid piece of gear. I tested this against a "Roam" competitor for 1 day and it wasn't even close. After a 2 mile ride, the "Roam" went back in the box and after 500 miles, every mile the Garmin proves I made the right decision.
