This display dongle worked perfect as one of my machines has 4 display ports out. I have a few nice VGA monitors. I wanted to use one of them as a second extended display. This device worked great and I will probably buy a couple more for my Dell and Lenovo laptops. The HP machine I put this adapter on is a hopped up rebuild and is very fast with great multitasking capability. It is primarily used for AutoCAD, OrCAD, board and automation design, Video editing at the amateur level, Reaper for sound recording and with a 1 TB SSD for the main boot drive with windows 10 and the critical apps on it It also has two 6 TB mechanical drives where output files reside on 1 and the other is a massive amount of tech papers, data sheets for Vacuum tubes and you name it. I call it the "Hive" with directories such as Data sheet Hive 1, Audio Amp Design Hive 1, Guitar Pedal Designs Hive 1 and so on. I must say being retired and now single I find relaxation in creating for fun or for a small run of custom audio amps for friends. The advancements in computer hardware is interesting and constantly taking big leaps. Thank God I have no interest in gaming as that word alone means more money, and why does intel have so many variations of CPUs within a generation the CPU vs CPU site is cool but still leaves me in mystery even after looking at the data sheets. I understand Servers, Industrial controls rack PCs, Graphic workstations, NAS etc. with different processors based on different tasks they are handling but see a bunch of CPU overlap with none on paper or very subtle differences. OK, enough rambling on. With all that said it is nice to find a small widget that solves a problem like this display adapter Dongle. Inexpensive, fast shipping plug and it plays with a minor problem Gone of the checklist. I buy many items off Amazon for myself and friends. Time to honker down on my budget as I kept the house, acreage with outbuildings , a cabin, machine shop etc. 1000 plus gallons of propane a winter is going to sink my Amazon hobby Ship. So little things like this product will hopefully be within a seemingly gloomy 'never in my life' fiscal future nose diving into the red. As many others face the same realization as I. Buy those widgets while you can, then again you can't eat them. Pour milk on them and some do Snap-Crackle-n-Pop but it's futile in many ways and without nutritional value. BTW the adapter maintained a high resolution as it was setup for at the Display ports output. It is transparent to me , and just works !Was simple to hook up. Provides crisp clear images. Very happy with this product. As long you don’t move the adapter around, it will be ok. Quality is also ok. Not for gaming. This was purchased to setup my dual monitors for my WFH desk. It arrived quickly and easy to install. Just what I needed. This matched my Dell laptop to my View Sonic monitor perfectly. Had to install a driver but then it's greatThis adapter works ok in connecting an AMD R9 Fury X graphics card to a Lacie 22" CRT monitor. The picture is clear and crisp, with no noticeable input lag or color degradation. It also supports GTF timings correctly. I will update the review later if there are durability issues.Unfortunately, the 180Khz pixel clock is a hard limit; while the adapter can handle resolutions up to 1080p60, it absolutely cannot output, e.g., [email protected] I have tried successfully include:1024X768 @ 120 Hz1440X1080 @ 80 Hz1600X1200 @ 60 Hz1024X768 at 60hz shows an annoying little flashing green line at the side; I'm not sure if that is the graphics card, the adapter, or some combination of both.I found an older monitor in the attic and decided to add it as a third monitor, but my laptop docking station didn't have room for another VGA connection. This adapter allowed me to use the Display Port on the docking station to connect the monitor. Nothing flashy or high end, but perfectly serviceable. This is a good cheap adapter however I recommend spending a few more dollars on a more quality adapter like one from Amazon Basics. If you are a content maker, this adapter can be a bit of a turn-off. The adapter makes the images on the display slightly more saturated and it generates a light static. However you wouldn't notice these things unless you had your face pressed against your monitor (like me). Other than that, I have no real complaints. I like that I can thread my VGA cable into it unlike other adapters in the same price range. It also is "gold-plated" and is a glossy finger magnet black.I've purchased a few adapter/charger type items from Amazon and was severely let down but this one has been perfect and continues to do it's job of letting me work and shop ;)Came quickly does what expectations I had of the product
