A little too tall but I suspect that’s due to the magnetsI needed to do quite a bit of retyping and needed a document holder to make it easier to see the documents I was copying. This works just fine as I am only typing from two to four sheets. I didn't need the magnets.This document holder wouldn't work well to hold a book open, but I didn't need it to do that.I’m an artist and take this with me to my classes, to hold an image/photo for reference to the respective painting project; it’s the perfect size and weight, and is very sturdy to hold several pages. It folds relatively flat for easy storage/portability; the magnets store on the back when folded. This is a very useful tool for my purpose, and would also be helpful to anyone needing a sturdy document stand for typing, holding recipe cards while cooking, and many other uses!Love yhe magnets. Hold papers up and can place anywhere, better than clip. Also holds tablet so can use and see screen when using laptop. Extra plus, my phone case has magnetic back so all 3 devices can be used at once.I like the adjustability of the angle and the lightness of the mess. The piece at the bottom the paper sits on looks fragile to me but if it breaks, I can make do. I did not like the magnets at all - flat and hard to pick up. I substituted some round magnets I already had and I'm good. I recommend this product. It's not perfect, but it's good enough.I am very happy with this document stand. Compared to the previous stands I have used this stand takes up less real estate on my desk, is sturdier, has an adjustable angle to accommodate larger stacks of documents and folds flat for easy storage.I read a number of reviews complaining about the power of the magnets. I don't really understand this complaint, they seemed perfectly adequate to me. But then I don't use the magnets, they just slow you down as you transition from one document to the next. Instead I adjust the angle and let gravity hold the documents in place.I got sick of my papers laying flat and having to crane my neck so i got this. Then my coworker liked it so i got her one too, and she lived it which made my other coworkers see the value and get one too, now we all have them! Easy tobuse and super sturdy. When im on hold i have little magnets on the back that i can move around while i wait. I love this thing!All the fancy knitting ones were too small and not shaped correctly. I went looking in office supply type sites and came across this. It holds a full page of a pattern and has a place for a pencil that I often use to mark up my copy. It also has little rubber feet on it so it doesn't scratch where you put it down. It folds flat if you wanted to take it with you. Someone pointed out that the mesh part is not totally flat and this is true. It still seems like it would work ok with a moveable line magnetized marker for charts but I haven't actually tried it for that. All in all, it's cheaper, sturdier and does the job that I wanted it to do.
